About us
Weekly conversation events that help foster your fluency in a language you are learning and help our ESL community practice their English. The group is for speakers and signers of all languages, but will begin with a focus on English and Spanish language exchanges. Our goal is to grow into a community of language learners and sharers that have a goal to learn a new language and fosters the progression to fluency of members in our ESL community.
The weekly conversation events are held in the H-Mart Food Court on every Thursday, from 7pm to 8:30pm.

Restaurants in the food court are open till 7:30pm, so you can also get dinner while you attend, but it's best to arrive early. H-Mart Frederick closes at 9pm, so if the events run long we can only stay till 9pm. Events will be canceled if H-Mart Frederick is closed for a holiday.
Current members speak English, Spanish, French, Italian, Swedish, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and sign American Sign Language conversationally, albeit sometimes rusty. The list grows and gains proficiency as we connect and learn together. We hope to grow to include many more languages and model our events after the Lingua Lounge meetup groups in person conversation events in Howard County.
