Inaugural Event (Errors & Hiccups To Be Expected)

Thanks for being an inaugural event guinea pig. While we iron out a few kinks with this event, we hope to also have a good time and get the ball rolling so to speak. So fingers crossed.

This will be the first of many weekly conversation events that help foster your fluency in a language you are learning and help our ESL community practice their English. The group is for speakers and signers of all languages, but we will begin with a focus on English and Spanish language exchanges. Our goal is to grow into a community of language learners and sharers that have a goal to learn a new language and fosters the progression to fluency of members in our ESL community.

The weekly conversation events are held in the H-Mart Food Court on every Thursday, from 7pm to 8:30pm.

Restaurants in the food court are open till 7:30pm, so you can also get dinner while you attend, but it's best to arrive a little early.

H-Mart Frederick closes at 9pm, so if the event runs long we can only stay till 9pm.

Events will be canceled if H-Mart Frederick is closed for a holiday or something. Hopefully you check and notice that its closed before just showing up, because I probs won't.

Current members speak English, Spanish, French, Italian, Swedish, and sign American Sign Language. The list grows as we connect and learn together. We hope to grow to include many more languages and model our events after the Lingua Lounge meetup groups in person conversation events in Howard County.
