About us
Welcome to the Frederick Independent Neurodivergent Meetup! This group is for individuals in the local community and surrounding areas who identify with ADHD, ASD, or any other type of neurodivergence. The goal of this group is for those who feel they can't quite find their place in the space between neurodivergent and neurotypical, to find one another. Those of us that lead somewhat "normal" lives, but feel disconnected, misunderstood, frustrated, or alone. Individuals who understand how to fit in, but feel drained and burnt out from doing it. Those that want to be able to drop the mask and have their authentic self and their way of "being" understood, welcomed, and accepted. Maybe you were diagnosed or self-diagnosed later in life. Perhaps for a long time you just thought you were an introvert, not sociable, quiet, weird, boring, or awkward. Let's come together and see that we just need to find our people to find our place!
We come together to connect, support one another, and engage in activities based on our shared interests. Whether you enjoy gaming, art, music, or just want to meet new friends who understand your unique perspective, this is the group for you. Join us for monthly meetups, events, and discussions where we celebrate our differences and embrace our neurodivergent identities.
