What we’re about
We are a group of enthusiasts that aim to promote and support Free and Open Source Technology in Singapore. First it was the Linux User Group of Singapore (commonly known as LUGS), then Singapore Linux Meetup Group and now Free and Open Source Singapore.
We welcome all like-minded people to join us and freely share knowledge and experience. Our aim is to hold a monthly meetup (last Thursday of month) with interesting and relevant speakers and topics. Do subscribe to our Youtube channels as we will try to put up recording of past events there:

See all- Free & Open Source Singapore Summer Vibe @ Open SourcedOpen Sourced, Singapore
We’re thrilled to announce a match made in heaven: the upcoming Free & Open Source Singapore (FOSS SG) meetup is teaming up with Open Sourced, a vibrant community space in Little India that champions collaboration and innovation—just like we do.
Open Sourced is more than just a venue; it's an inclusive builder house designed for creators of all stripes—from solo developers to nimble startups and billion-dollar companies. With thoughtfully curated spaces like The Den for deep work, The Commune for ideation, and The Social Garden for celebration, it’s a place where character matters more than credentials, and where diverse perspectives come together to build and grow.
This event will feature talks by Joe Blubaugh, who will share how Grafana MCP Server, Loki logs, and LLMs can help answer performance questions, and Tan Jin, the creator of React ChatBotify, a modern React library for creating flexible and extensible chatbots, plus other lightning talks sharing from the community: Cherry Studio AI - an open source local desktop app that supports Ollama and multiple LLM platform providers.
Whether you're new to open source or a seasoned contributor, join us for an inspiring evening of learning, networking, and celebrating Singapore’s passionate open-source community. This event would not be possible with the strong support of our industry partners Grafana and Innoforge Ventures.
