Lessons from Hong Kong: Free Cities Meetup — London

Details
Our next Free Cities meetup will feature talks by Peter Young, managing director of the Free Cities Foundation, and Ivan Ko, CEO of the community developer Victoria Harbour Group. Peter's presentation will outline the Free Cities concept, its relevance in the 21st century, and how it relates to Special Administrative Regions like Hong Kong. Ivan will discuss the lessons that supporters of the Free Cities movement can learn from Hong Kong and how he seeks to apply these in new projects being pursued by his company. This includes two proposed projects he hopes to move ahead with in England: one in south Kent and one near Doncaster. The talks will be followed by a Q&A with the speakers.
The event will be our fourth Free Cities meetup, a gathering focused on how devolving political power to smaller, self-governing territories—'Free Cities'—can lead to more individual liberty and prosperity across the globe. This meetup will be jointly hosted by the Free Cities Foundation, a nonprofit organization that promotes the Free Cities concept, and Victoria Harbour Group.
