Two internationally experienced opera singers come together for an unusual new theatrical experience in Vienna.

Welsh tenor Steffan Mullan, whose international career has included twelve years at La Scala in Milan, has created Fatal Attraction together with dramatic mezzo-soprano Kassandra Dimopoulou — an international opera singer who is also an accomplished cellist.

Rather than a traditional opera concert, Fatal Attraction is a continuous 70-minute operatic psychodrama exploring desire, seduction, jealousy and obsession. Opera, theatre, cello, dramatic lighting and sound are woven into one uninterrupted story in the magnificent Imperialsaal of the Akademisches Gymnasium.

Music by Wagner, Saint-Saëns, Bizet, Verdi, Fauré, Strauss, Leoncavallo and Purcell.

No applause between scenes. No interval. Once it begins, the story doesn’t stop.
