Plan
Those coming from Zürich meet directly on S25 before departure. If it's more convenient to you, you might join us on S25 after Zürich on the way to Luchsingen. In Luchsingen we take the aerial cable car to Brunnenberg (1095m) where we start our hike at 9:35.
From Brunnenberg we make our way through meadows and woods leading to the spectacular Oberblegisee (1421m), from where one can admire the imposing Glärnisch massif close up or take a swim in the cold water. On our way to the Bösbächi valley (1384m) we pass by the Bächistubli where you might buy water or food. We go on by ascending to the Seblengrat (1845m, highest point in the hike) where we stop to have our picnic lunch while admiring the views on the Linth valley below us and the mountain ranges surrounding us. We finally descend to the village of Braunwald (1256m) again passing by a mountain restaurant.
The conclusion of the hike is open ended, depending on our energy levels and timing :) We might relax in a bar terrace overlooking the valley or visit a restaurant for dinner either in Braunwald or in the valley.
The pace during the whole hike will be moderate in order to allow everyone to proceed comfortably. The reported 4h walking time does not include breaks and is not meant to be overly precise. We will not be in a hurry to catch any connection.
