About us
Hey hikers and soon‑to‑be hikers! I’m Kashif, and I am on a mission to get fit before my sister’s wedding next year. Instead of paying hefty fees for guided hikes, I’m starting a free Saturday morning hiking group. We’ll explore the UAE’s stunning wadis, desert peaks and forested parks, make new friends and motivate each other to reach our fitness goals. Whether you’re a total beginner or have a few summits under your belt, if you can walk for a few hours and love early mornings, this group is for you. Come along, bring your positive vibes and let’s conquer those trails together – without breaking the bank!

Al Rabi Trail – Khor Fakkan | Season Opener

We’re kicking off the hiking season with Al Rabi, one of the classic trails above Khor Fakkan.
This is a free community hike — there is no participation fee.
The trail has a steady climb with great views over Khor Fakkan and the Gulf of Oman.
Distance: around 5 km
Time: 2–3 hours
Difficulty: Easy+
Terrain: mountain trail with steady uphill and downhill sections
Group size: maximum 25
This is suitable for beginners with reasonable fitness. You should be comfortable walking for a couple of hours and climbing hills or stairs.### What to bring
- At least 2L of water
- Hiking shoes or trainers with good grip
- Comfortable hiking clothes
- Hat and sun protection
- Small snack
- Trekking poles if you use them

Places are limited to 25 hikers. Once the event is full, Meetup will open a waitlist.
