About us
Join us for a 1.5 hour workshop hosted by Kelsey Day on how to mold your experiences into meaning through the art of the personal essay. Writing is transforming your inner thoughts, failures, and joys through storytelling. It’s painting the story of your life through language, and finding common ground in the existential silliness of the human condition. It can be playful, serious, tragic, euphoric—whatever it will be, though, it will be yours.
In this workshop we’ll discuss the key narrative elements of the personal essay, engage in short writing prompt exercises, and end by sharing with others our stories, questions, and challenges. We hope each person leaves feeling re-inspired to engage with their inner thoughts and write something new.
