What we’re about
If you're interested in regular lessons and dance venues for Lindy Hop, Balboa, or Collegiate Shag, whether you're new to the retro dance scene, or you're an experienced swinger ("dancer", that is!), and you live in the Fremont, Newark, Union City, or Hayward areas and are tired of having to drive all the way to San Francisco to get your dance fix...then this group is for you! We'll keep you updated on classes and venues taught and run by Mike Quebec at Fremont Adult and Continuing Education, The Joanne Brown Dance Studio, as well as Johnny Lee's and Shannon Warf's "Swingin' At The Rack" at The Saddle Rack in Fremont. In addition, any workshops and dances that are reasonably close by will be posted. Rockabilly shows where dancing is encouraged will also be posted.

Swing Into The New Year One Dollar Swing Dance Party
The Mark Green Sports Center, 31224 Union City Boulevard, Union City, CA, US2026's New Year Swing Dance Open House:
This is an almost "free" ($1.00!) Friday swing dance "open house" with both a dance lesson and social, with complimentary stews, breads, and snacks, too.
It's also our way of celebrating The New Year's (after The New Year) without having to pay exhorbitant cover charges or driving far away!
It's a vintage rockin' record hop, with a beginner-friendly swing dance lesson beforehand with food, fun n' friendly company, and for the "exorbitant" fee of ...$1 dollar!
One dollar...if you register in advance. (It's $5 if paid on the day of, at the door, provided there is still room.)
In these times, where are you going to find that kind of a deal for a fun social dance event, on a Friday night, locally here in Union City?
Admittedly, this is our way of promoting our new, upcoming weekly Friday evening swing dance classes (which are usually not for $1!)

7:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. East Coast Swing/'50's "Jitterbug" Lesson (Beginner friendly, no experience necessary.)
7:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Open Dancing to vintage '50's Jump Blues, Doo Wop, Rockabilly, and Teeners. Snacks will be provided.
* Guests are welcome to contribute in a potluck fashion, but are not required to, as there will be enough snacks for everyone.
Cost?
$1 dollar.
