The Fremont IBD Meetup group welcomes anyone who is interested in stock market investing from beginner level to advanced. We are dedicated to teaching the 'CAN SLIM' Investing System, as developed by Investors Business Daily founder William J. O'Neil. You do not need to be an Investor's Business Daily subscriber to join and membership is free. Each month, we will discuss the current state of the market and attempt to identify growth stocks that have the potential to double or triple within 18-24 months. Using Mr. O'Neil's book, "How to Make Money in Stocks", as our investing foundation, we will learn how to better-interpret chart patterns (technical analysis) while taking into account a stock's winning characteristics (fundamental analysis).
This is NOT a group where you meet, receive stock tips, then go home and buy the next morning. The focus of this Meetup is education...your education. If you have the inclination and interest to learn to become an astute stock trader, I'm here to help.
