About us
Bienvenue !
We are lovers of French language, French culture, customs, traditions as well as its history and diversity.
Created 12 years ago, we are the biggest French meetup in the USA with 13,000 members.
We organize several events a week :
- French Mondays to meet and greet, improve our French conversation skils, and make new connections.
- We also organize Museum Tours in French, mostly at The Metropolitan Museum of Art : "French-with-Art with Anna" invites you to a series of highly engaging interactive and guided art discussion at the MET.
- Wednesdays, we have two weekly events for the price of one : French conversations , Mercredi Français, organized by Chris and French Conversation at The Upside organized by Martin.
- Once in a while, Mohammed likes to have a special French Moroccan evening at Kazuza with belly dancers, happy hour specials, hookahs etc.
We promote writers, artists, philosophers and food lovers. We also love people who want to talk about areas with strong cultural Francophonie roots, our members are French, Canadian, North and West African, Haitian, Swiss, Belgium and of course American people who like everything French.
Although the official language is French, you do NOT need to speak French to be a member, we will just ask you to be patient with our accent if we try to communicate. Each event has a theme and ideas are welcome.

"Anne's interactive French with Art classes are stimulating and fun. Providing her students with the vocabulary they can use to react to the artworks, Anne listens closely to and celebrates each person's input. Patient and complimentary, she has created a safe haven where we are not afraid to make mistakes, as we improve our language skills. I feel that I have greatly developed my observation skills, as Anne encourages us to look deeply into each painting."
"If you wish to practice speaking French while at the same time improving your knowledge of art, French-with-Art is the class for you. Anne is a patient and encouraging facilitator whose small classes ensure that all have an opportunity to participate. She provides relevant vocabulary prior to each class and asks thoughtful questions to encourage interaction. French-with-Art has helped me become more confidant expressing myself in French and has significantly expanded my appreciation of art and its various styles. I would highly recommend it."
