Hi, we are making 3 action based short films and are looking for cast and also crew if you are keen. No experience is needed for the smaller roles. We will provide training.

This is a hobbyist project meaning it is a collaboration of Reel Frenz, a group of film enthusiasts coming together to make short films for passion. This is not a paid project.

This is where you impress us with your acting skills. Even if you've never acted before, no harm giving it a try. Main thing is to join us and have fun making these 3 short films.

The 3 films are estimated to be less than 15 mins each. Their tentative titles are

Come with your friends if you wish. Auditions are carried out on a walk in basis. Auditions usually last 20 mins with waiting time dependant on the turnout. So give yourself 1 to 2 hours overall when you come for audition.

Filming is done mainly on weekend Sat and Sun from 3rd Sep to end Oct and depending on your role.

Roles Available:

1. Mrs Alice Fisher — Female, Caucasian, 50 & above, speaks with a posh British accent. Looks noble. Philip's mother. Confident and firm.

2. Craig Fisher — Caucasian Male 50 & above, speaks with a posh British accent. Looks noble. Evil uncle of Philip.

3. Cindy Lee — Chinese 30s, slim and pretty. Able to sing. Able to cry on cue.

4. Café and Bar customers — Any age/race

5. Sylvia — Female, 20s to mid 30s, pretty, cheerful. Race depending on "Aunty"

6. Jen — Female, 20s to 40, pleasant

7. Aunty (Sylvia's mother) — Female, 50 & above. Matronly, cheerful. Race depending on "Sylvia"

1. Sifu Leong — Male, Fair Asian, 50 & above. Physically fit. Must be able to do fight scenes.

2. Matthew — Male, Chinese, any age, as long as physically fit. Must be able to do fight scenes.

3. Wendy Leong — fair Asian, Female, early 20s to 30s. Physically fit. Must be able to do fight scenes. Daughter of Sifu Leong.

4. Bodyguard x 2 Male — Chinese, any age, as long as physically fit. Must be able to do fight scenes. 5. Detectives x 4 — Male, any age/race, as long as physically fit. Must be able to do fight scenes.

5. Chambermaid/Informer — Female, any race and any age, as long as physically fit. Must be able to do fight scenes.

6. Shintarō Shingen — Chinese/Japanese Male, 60 and above, Dignified, leader of a dukedom

Casting Script: FEMALE dialogue

'Yes, it was a love marriage. I still clearly remember the first day we met. A fight broke out in the cafe. It was chaotic and everyone was pushing each other and trying to get out. I was scared stiff and could not move when I saw the bottle broke over the man's head. Then suddenly someone grabbed my arm and pulled me. I turned and looked into his eyes. In that second, I felt I could trust him. We ran out the back door and only stopped when we were quite a distance away. I realized he was still holding my hand. He likes holding my hand. Even when I was in labour with our first child, he held on to it tightly and offered his arm to be bitten if I needed to. And you know what, I really bit him till his arm was all bruised. (laughs then change to sadness) He held my hand tightly when I was walking around the coffin as I wished my mother goodbye for the last time. He held my hand through my second labour and through every rainy day we had. I really can't help going crazy when I saw him holding her hand. He was supposed to be mine, all mine...Officer, I really didn't mean to kill him....'

Casting Script: MALE dialogue

'I have a love hate relationship with my job. Sure, it was what I studied for but it is not a job I would really enjoy. The designation, to some may sound glamorous and the job pays really well but I get home, night after night, unfulfilled and bitter. The only bright side to my humdrum job is seeing her at the office everyday. She is like a ray of sunshine and in my opinion, real eye candy for the guys. Whenever she sashays across the room, I can imagine every guy catching glances at those well toned, sun tanned legs that seem to go on forever. Her long silky hair, I can even smell the scent from where I am sitting. I just want to run across to caress and bury my face in it. And those lips, those sultry, pouting, gorgeous lips. I almost died the day she said yes to being my girl. But now..... (long sigh) That stupid idiot had to reverse his car into her. And all he got was 2 years license supension, 1 month jail and a fine of $1000. A life lost cannot be let off that easily. Today he comes out of jail. (pause) My darling I will make sure he pays for it...... And then I will come and join you. Wait for me.'
