During this event, participants will have the chance to network, share tips and tricks, and immerse themselves in the art of nature photography. Weather permitting the Milky Way will be visible and high in the sky. Bring your chairs, thermos with hot coca or preferred beverage, camera, lenses, and tripod for a fun and educational experience in the great outdoors. While there is no charge for this Meetup Event the Shenandoah National Park requires an Entrance Pass and will charge an access fee unless you have a valid pass.

We plan to have a quick social dinner at the Big Meadows Lodge starting at 6:00 PM then meet at the Big Meadows parking area at 7:00 PM.

Should we experience inclement weather for night photography our backup date is the next evening, Wednesday 4 Sept 2024.
