Monthly Meeting - Wildlife: Open Discussion - Kim Willits
Details
Before we hit the river to shoot osprey, eagles and herons this Spring for the shad run, it's helpful to brush up on our wildlife photography skills. This is your chance to ask questions and share tips and "how-tos" before you shoot. This is an open discussion - we'll focus on settings and equipment for photographing the shad run this Spring, and general challenges of wildlife photography. We can go around the room for Q&A as well.
Some points to consider:
Focus Modes & Features/Custom Buttons
Settings: ISO/Auto ISO, Aperture, Shutter, Setting Up Exposure, Histogram, Shutter Sounds, DOF
Equipment: Lenses, TC, Tripod
Composing: Removing distractions, Animal behavior, Light, Leaving Room, Interesting subject matter (movement)
Because this is an open discussion, we won't have any handouts so you might want to take notes.
Don't forget the meetup! Put your knowledge to use by attending our TBA Shad Run meetup (look for the meetup in upcoming events soon).
