### 🇸🇬 National Day Special - Red & White!

This month's meeting has a National Day theme! You're encouraged to come dressed in Singapore's national colours of red and white. It's optional - come as you are if you'd prefer!

### 📍 Getting Here & Registration

Registration starts at 7:10 PM, and the meeting begins promptly at 7:30 PM. Come a little earlier if you'd like some time to settle in and chat with members and other guests before we begin.
As the meeting is held at SMU, visitors will need to complete SMU visitor registration. The visitor registration link, detailed map, and step-by-step directions to the venue can all be found here:

## 👂🪑No pressure to speak!

Many first-time guests wonder whether they'll be asked to give a speech.
The answer is no.
You're completely welcome to just come, listen, observe, and enjoy the evening. Many guests attend their first meeting simply to experience what Toastmasters is like before deciding whether they'd like to participate in future meetings.
If you'd like to speak, fantastic. If not, that's perfectly okay too.

## More than just public speaking

While communication is at the heart of Toastmasters, many members also enjoy the friendships and conversations that happen around the formal meeting.
Come along to:

  • Meet people from different professions and backgrounds
  • Enjoy relaxed one-to-one and small-group conversations
  • Exchange ideas and experiences
  • Make new friends in a welcoming environment

There's no need to know anyone beforehand - we'll make sure you feel included.

## What to expect

🎙 Impromptu Speaking
Watch, or join in if you feel like it - fun speaking challenges that help people think on their feet.
🗣 Prepared Speeches
Listen to engaging speeches covering a wide range of topics, from personal stories to thought-provoking ideas.
💬 Supportive Feedback
See how speakers improve through constructive, encouraging evaluations in a safe and friendly environment.
🤝 Friendly Community
Meet professionals, entrepreneurs, students, alumni, and lifelong learners who enjoy personal growth and meaningful conversations.
🍜 Optional Supper Afterwards
Many of us head out for supper after the meeting. It's completely optional, but often one of the best parts of the evening—a chance to continue conversations, get to know people better, and simply enjoy good company.

## This event is for you if you'd like to...

  • Become more confident speaking in front of others
  • Improve presentations, interviews or workplace communication
  • Practise thinking on your feet
