About us
Welcome to Friendly Local Voices Global Language Night. This group is for anyone who enjoys the process of learning a new language and wants a relaxed environment to practice speaking with others. We believe that the best way to improve is through genuine conversation rather than formal lessons, so we focus on creating a space where people feel comfortable making mistakes and learning as they go.
We meet regularly to chat, share our experiences with different cultures, and help each other gain confidence in our target languages. Whether you are a beginner looking to pick up a few phrases or a fluent speaker who wants to keep your skills sharp, you are welcome here. Our gatherings are informal and centered on meeting new neighbors and making connections, so please bring your curiosity and a willingness to listen and share.

Seoul Korean for Complete Beginners: Your First Hour
1472-5 Sillim-dong, Seoul, KRπ Korean for Beginners: Your First Hour β Live Class for Complete Beginners
Always wanted to try Korean? This live class on Zoom is your first hour: greetings, introducing yourself, numbers to ten and ordering at a cafΓ©, with a teacher and a small group.
In the hour, you'll learn to:
- Understand how Hangul letters build syllable blocks, and read μλ νμΈμ
- Order a drink, ask how much it is and pay
- Greet people and say goodbye politely
- Count from 1 to 10 for prices and phone numbers
Every word comes with romanization, so you don't need to read Hangul yet.
You repeat together with the whole class (nobody is singled out), then practise in small breakout rooms of 2 or 3. Afterwards your phrase sheet with a pronunciation guide stays in your account.
No fluency promises: one hour is a real start, and the phrase sheet helps you keep it. Camera optional, nothing recorded.
Register through the link below to book your place in the live class.
