Ochoco adventure: hike to Stein’s pillar ( dog friendly )

Escape for a day into the lush green world of the Ochocos with us !
We scouted this 4 mile trail in March and already saw a few wild flowers - we are hoping to see a whole bunch more on this hike. Pls be advised that this trail has some moderately steep inclines and can be narrow and slightly rocky .Rambunctious dogs will need to be controlled and we advise: 1. that you bring yr hiking poles 2. a lunch to have in the shade of this big beautiful rock 3. We strongly advise carpooling because it is an 80 minute drive out there and the last miles are on a bumpy forest road. We really enjoyed sharing some drinks and foods at ‘ Sons of Beer ‘ in Prineville afterwards and invite you to join us.
