Hike the Juniper trails to the Deschutes River ( dog friendly)

This moderate 5 mile high desert hike surprises us when we drop down a secret canyon and encounter the Deschutes in its full spring flow . It is so fun to combine the 2 habitats - and the dogs get to run their hearts out on the desert and then drink from the river . Pls bring yr poles, shoes with good traction and check in the night before as weather might influence our plans . Optional lunch in Tumalo afterwards
