Worthing Seaside Resort & Midhurst Town Day Trip by Privately Hired Coach!

Join us on a day trip by privately-hired coach to the Victorian seaside resort of Worthing and the historic market town of Midhurst.

26 Meetup members have already booked via our Day Trips from London Meetup Group, which we also organise in addition to Friends in London. Therefore, this will be a joint event with our two groups. Members can check the RSVP's on our Day Trips from London Meetup Group by 'Clicking Here'.

Included in the price of £40:

• Privately-hired, executive return coach travel from London to two destinations (there is a W/C on the coach).
• Fully planned day trip with a detailed itinerary. This day trip will be hosted by two very experienced group organisers with 10 years experience of organising day trips on Meetup.com.
• Guided microphone commentary of locations on coach before we arrive at our destinations.
• Individual concise text guides/booklets of each location that the organisers have researched and written.
• Optional pre-planned group strolls through both Worthing and Midhurst where we will take in the main sights that we will have already detailed in our earlier guided coach commentary and text guides/booklets.
• Optional treasure hunt created by us in Worthing with prizes.

An Introduction to Midhurst:
Our first destination will be Midhurst, a charming West Sussex town nestled in the middle of the South Downs National Park. Midhurst is a delightful mix of Medieval, Tudor, Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture. We will also have stunning exterior views of Cowdray House ruins in the countryside, located just a 2 minute walk from Midhurst town centre.

An Introduction to Worthing:
Our second destination is the large, lively and traditional seaside resort of Worthing, also located in West Sussex. Worthing highlights include: A 960 ft pier that has won UK Pier of the Year in recent years, a five-mile promenade that runs alongside the shingle beach and a series of picturesque parks/gardens directly behind the seafront.

We can only offer this trip to adults aged 18 and over.

ITINERARY:
08.45 am - Coach pick-up point on Tothill St. is a 2 minute walk from St James Park Tube Station or 7 minutes walk from Westminster Tube Station.
10:45 am - Arrive in Midhurst - optional 30 minute pre-planned group stroll through the town and to Cowdray ruins. Then free time to continue exploring and there are numerous places to eat if you haven't already brought a packed lunch.
1:20 pm - Leave Midhurst & the optional Worthing Treasure Hunt will be handed out, which can be completed in your own time in Worthing.
2:20 pm - Arrive in Worthing - optional 30-minute pre-planned group stroll along the seafront and through parks/gardens. Afterwards will be free time to continue exploring.
3:45 pm - Optional group visit to Worthing Museum & Art Gallery (Free Entry).
5:45 pm - Leave Worthing.
8:00 pm - Arrive back in Tothill St.
8:00 pm - 9:30 pm - Optional After-Trip-Drinks at a quiet and nearby public house/bar.

Note: we will see the most spectacular views of Cowdray House from the exterior, by the riverside (even though the interior is closed).

Payments:
All payments are to be made online via PayPal in full if you decide to RSVP (you will be taken to the payments page after you RSVP).
Please note you do not have to have a PayPal account to pay via PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account, choose the option to 'pay with a debit or credit card' and fill in your card details, address, email etc as directed by the screen.

Information Relating to Refunds and Selling a Space:
Payments are non-refundable unless the trip is cancelled or rescheduled. However, if you have booked on the trip and can no longer attend, we will refund you only if the trip is full and someone else takes your place from the waiting list. Payments are non-transferable. Also, please 'Click Here' to read the procedure to follow when selling a space.

In the unlikely event of major delays we may extend our advertised departure time from Worthing to London by approximately 45 minutes. However, this will be very rare and at the discretion of the specific drivers as they must adhere to very strict driving hours.
