What we’re about

Friends of Animals’ Colorado Cleanup Crew is a community for anyone committed to protecting wildlife, public health, and the environment—one cleanup at a time.

Led by our Wildlife Law Program, we remove trash and plastic pollution from local parks, waterways, and neighborhoods to help restore habitat, defend biodiversity, and create a cleaner, kinder, more sustainable world.

Over 400 million tons of plastic are produced globally each year, and one-third of it ends up in our soils and freshwater—harming wildlife and disrupting ecosystems. In the Denver Metro area, this pollution is especially severe in parks near highways and high-traffic areas, where it flows into lakes and rivers, contaminates groundwater, and eventually, even reaches our oceans.

We’ll focus our efforts on high-impact zones to strengthen ecosystems, protect vulnerable species, and bring us closer to a future rooted in respect for the planet we share.
