Barnum Park Community Cleanup (National Public Lands Day)

Details
Get ready to roll up your sleeves for wildlife!
Join Friends of Animals' Wildlife Law Program, Polar Planet, Canada Geese Protection Colorado, and GreenLatinos for a high-impact Trash Blitz at Barnum Lake and Weir Gulch! We're setting up two cleanup hubs—one between the ponds and one at the gulch—where we’ll tackle litter head-on to help protect wildlife and restore the natural beauty of Barnum Park.
Supplies Provided: Gloves, trash pickers, buckets, waders, bags, and dumpsters. We will also have 2 paddle boards to get into the water.
What to Bring:
• Your own gloves (to reduce single-use waste; garden gloves work well)
• A reusable water jug and plenty of water
• Sunscreen and a hat / weather appropriate clothing
• Sturdy, closed-toe footwear (waders not required)
• Extra waders will be available for individuals eager to get into the lake
• Please note: all children must be supervised, and pets are not permitted
Protecting wildlife is a matter of justice—not just conservation.
Join us to reject harm, remove waste, and restore safe, living spaces for animals and our communities.
