About us

Friends of Carvers Creek State Park is a diverse and enthusiastic group of people who love nature and all that it has to offer! We strive to build awareness of Cumberland County, NC's first state park, offer fun recreational programs, provide environmental education to our community and have a great time together. Some of our events include Astronomy Nights, The Quiet Book Club, a monthly photography contest, bioblitzes and the Haunted Trail at Carvers Creek.

We always welcome new members! We meet on the 4th Friday of every month at 4:30 pm at Long Valley Farm Access, 2505 Long Valley Road in Spring Lake, NC (unless otherwise posted). Follow us on Facebook and Instagram!
