From Cocoon to Tycoon

Visit the Skinner and Sons Silk Mill site (1874—1980) for a fascinating tale of old industrial Holyoke. Grasp the laborious process of silk manufacturing and feel what it was like to work in the mill. See real silkworm cocoons, raw silk skeins, and a wedding dress made from the final product. Easy, short leisurely stroll in and near the park.

Program is free and open to the public. Meet at the Visitor Center. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather. Severe weather cancels.
