For the Love of Animals - a Painting Workshop by Sarah Marquesen

Details
Aspiring artists! Come learn the basics of painting birds. Sarah Marquesen guides you with a special technique, and before you know it, you’ve painted a beautiful cardinal or chickadee. Supplies are provided but if you have your own you are welcome to bring them. No experience is needed. Appropriate for ages 10 to 110. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Register via Meetup or call: 413-534-1723
This workshop kicks off a 2-month exhibit by Sarah, a wildlife portrait artist. Sarah’s paintings portray the beauty and wonder of animals in intricate detail. Stare into the eyes of a bear or raccoon. With every feather of the cardinal or hair of the fox, you’ll create a bond with each animal you see.
The show is open daily from 12 noon to 4pm starting August 1 until September 29.
The Show and the Workshop are free. Each takes place in the Holyoke Heritage State Park Visitor Center, which is accessible to all.
