Bring the family to Holyoke Heritage State Park for the second of four programs during "Nature's Helping Hands" school vacation week. This week we investigate different ways in which plants and animals help us. Come one day or every day to learn how we cannot live without nature.

Today, learn how to turn your food scraps into nutritious soil for your garden. See a vermiculture bin and meet some red wigglers. Take home some “worm juice” to fertilize your houseplants.

All programs take place in the Visitor Center of Holyoke Heritage State Park.
Free hot chocolate is available every day.
As always, programs are free and open to the public. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Reservations requested by calling 413-534-1723 but not required. Large groups please call ahead.
