Pollinators, Plants and Food
Details
Bring the family to Holyoke Heritage State Park for the last of four programs during "Nature's Helping Hands" school vacation week. This week we investigate different ways in which plants and animals help us. Come one day or every day to learn how we cannot live without nature.
Today we ask, "Do you like to eat?" Many plants we enjoy depend on pollinators like bees, butterflies, bats or birds to propagate them. Learn about this important relationship, then make some seed-embedded paper to take home to plant in your garden for those important pollinators.
All programs take place in the Visitor Center of Holyoke Heritage State Park.
Free hot chocolate is available every day.
As always, programs are free and open to the public. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Reservations requested by calling 413-534-1723 but not required. Large groups please call ahead.
