Don't forget to set your clocks back one hour the night before this event, for the end of Daylight Saving Time.

Join this outing with ACR Preserve Biologist Sherry Adams for an introduction to the 15 most common tree species found on the Preserves. Learn how to identify them, where they are found, and a little about their ecology including strategies for surviving fire.

We'll be walking about 3 miles. The pace will be leisurely, however some of our walking will be uphill and in exposed areas. Please wear long pants, closed-toed shoes, and bring drinking water and a lunch. If you have binoculars you may wish to bring them.

This outing may be cancelled due to weather. Heavy winds and rains bring down trees and if we are expecting this we will cancel the event. The decision will be made by 8:00pm the night before, it will be posted here and also e-mailed to anyone signed up for the event.

Santa Rosa carpool: Meet at 9:15am at the east end of Park and Ride under Hwy 12, across from the Fairgrounds/Vet's Hall, for casual carpooling. No preserve staff will be there to coordinate or organize this carpool so you may want to post to the meet-up if you plan to be there so other folks know.
