Horseneck Beach Hike

Join DCR's Southeastern MA Adult Walking Club for a hike at Horseneck Beach State Reservation. This is a moderate walk, with some sandy and rocky terrain, about 5 miles. We will hike along the beach, around Gooseberry Island, and through the dune trail. Wear sturdy winter foot gear and dress for the weather; layers are best as it can be windy on the coast. Carry drinking water and a snack. For adults ages 16+. No dogs, please. No restrooms on site. Meet at the main parking lot on John Reed Road in Westport. We will hike unless the weather creates unsafe conditions. If weather conditions are questionable, please call (508) 272-9376. Hike is free; no parking fee.

End time is estimated; depends on our group and our pace. A group of us are planning on heading to the Bayside Restaurant after the hike for lunch if anyone wants to join us.
