***Effective March 19th, 2020, Froggers meetups are temporarily moving online due to the Covid-19 pandemic.***
I have purchased a Zoom subscription which will expire in April 2021. Members who attend a Zoom meetup will need to pay a $10 fee toward the subscription which covers Zoom meetups to April 2021. In January 2021, all members will also need to pay the 2021 Froggers Meetup fee ($7 to the end of Dec 2021).
Effective April 2021 - the Zoom membership has been renewed until April 2022, and any Froggers attending any Zoom meetups will need to pay a $15 fee toward the new subscription. (Increase in Zoom fee went up a bit since last time to ensure the subscription cost is covered.) This is in addition to the regular $7 Meetup annual fee.
~~ What is Frogging???? ~~
"Frogging" is the term used to describe the act of UNknitting or UNcrocheting your project (or portion of your project). The term was created because you may say "Rip It, Rip It" (ribbit, ribbit) as you undo your work!
Thanks for joining!
The below is the information for our regular in-person meetups:
This group is for people who would like to meet up with other knitters and crocheters in/near Burnaby (and we have a 'satellite' group in Port Moody). We will get together to work on projects, compare patterns, share techniques and trade tips. And of course, get to know each other & gab! We meet on Thursday evenings at a local coffee shop (weekly in Burnaby and every two weeks in Port Moody). From time to time, we schedule field trips to special events or a LYS (Local Yarn Shop).
All experience levels welcome, including beginners! If you are interested in learning, please read this discussion thread:
PS: Regarding membership payment: If you haven't yet attended a meeting, and would like to come and check out our group before deciding whether you wish to become a paying member, please come out and meet us. If you like us enough to come again, we will ask for payment at that time. For more information, please read this discussion thread:
