Do you create differently in Nature? Does the smell of dirt, roots and Spring buds bring something alive within?

WHERE: Westminster City Park Fitness Center
WHO: Writers of all levels, any form of writing
WHAT: We will walk (2-4 miles), talk, discussing nature, emotions, and creative writing
WHY: It's often needed to get out of our normal rhythms in our overwhelmed lives. This will be a time without phones, allowing for our minds, bodies, and feet to guide us into creativity

You will need something to write with (journal or phone work fine), a water bottle, probably sun block, and a desire to move into your body and flow into your emotions!!

Collaboration is at the heart of our every gathering I lead! You will have the chance to connect and exchange ideas with like-minded individuals passionate about the power of movement within our bodies and the power of words.

ART OF SPIRITUALITY: FINDING YOUR SPIRITUAL HOME

BREATHING AGAIN... I cleared out these roots yesterday. My task, on a perfect Colorado day, was making a ring for mulch.

This poor tree was slowly being choked to death from the creeping lawn, Colorado clay, and 20 year old covered mulch slowly suffocating it by stealing it's most important needed element--WATER.

I could feel the fresh breathing as I exposed these roots to the air.

This enterprise, and it was a beast, got me thinking about religion. I find it fascinating that for some, religion, ritual, rules can work. Making sense of such a HUGE mystery in their lives.

While others, like me, religion, and it's rules, choke out any creativity. Actually keeping me from who I really am.

The journey, of the last 30 years, has been unraveling, or digging up those roots. My roots are now fully exposed, yet covered in protective mulch, and freshly watered. I am now free in this area of my life. Shame, guilt, eternal damnation, and the need to have all my questions answered.

I'm breathing again! Like a child would breathe. In some ways, like I was never allowed to breath, and never allowed myself to breathe. I've had this desire to be present and breathe my entire adult life. this area of my life has arrived. I have arrived.

On May 5th, I start a new group experience. It is called the ART OF SPIRITUALITY: DISCOVERING YOUR SPIRITUAL HOME.

I've woke up and realized no one has the answers. While everybody says, and believes, they do, the one absolute truth I adhere to is Death.

In these four weeks we will explore our personal spirituality, and what it means as well as what it doesn't mean.

For some, it's a deconstructing process and wrought with pain. For others, it's a joyous one as we find our inner spark. For most, they can't be separated. This will be an inclusive group discussing this most important topic!

Come worship with others deeply moved by the art of movies. We will gather to behold the genius of four directors who have within their catalog every possible emotional experience available to humankind.

We will focus on these four directors: Christopher Nolan, Steven Spielberg, Alfred Hitchcock, and Nora Ephron. We will connect, write, and share our emotional and spiritual connection into our love of movies, those sacred two hours of cinema. All movie lovers welcome!

This will be an inclusive group of all ages!
