ART OF AGING: Importance of Relationships
Details
GETTING OLD SUCKS! But does get older have too? Aging is something no one wants to talk about, but yet is something we ALL have in common.
Rhoda (Rho) Resnick, age 87, and Rick Ellsmore, age 57, will delve into the complicated world of aging. We will delve deeply into the question, "How do we age well within a world that is obsessed with youth and outward beauty?" During this morning group we will process through difficult subjects with honesty and laughter in a safe environment, write together, and have an opportunity to share our experiences. Water and a light snack will be provided.
Rho has incredible stories to share from her illustrious life. She is an adventurer, world traveler, graduate from Michigan, worked at Harvard, taught middle school sex education at a Denver Jewish School, a lover of art, and an exquisite gardener.
Rho and Rick met five years ago at the doorstep of her lovely home. Rick was there to do some landscaping on her property, but three hours later no physical work was completed. The emotional and spiritual connection has seeded a relationship that continues to grow and flourish. Rho often says, "I don't completely understand this friendship, but it sure is a wonderful thing in my life."
Collaboration is at the heart of our every gathering! You will have the chance to connect and exchange ideas with like-minded individuals passionate about the power of words. Engage in honest discussions on the intersection of creativity, and aging within this current crazy world.
