About us

We're a group of winter camping enthusiasts who get together to share knowledge, skills, and experiences about cold weather camping. Whether you're brand new to winter camping or you've been doing it for years, this is a space to learn from each other and figure out what actually works in the field. We run workshops throughout the winter season that cover everything from gear selection and shelter setup to nutrition, safety, and troubleshooting common problems you'll run into when camping in snow and freezing temperatures.

The workshops are hands-on and practical. We're not interested in theory aloneβ€”we want to help you gain real confidence and competence so you can head out into winter conditions feeling prepared. You'll get to work with different tents, stoves, sleeping systems, and other gear so you can figure out what works best for you before you commit to buying anything. We also spend time discussing route planning, weather assessment, and decision-making in winter environments because knowing when to go and when to stay home is just as important as knowing how to set up camp.

Come for the skills, stay for the community. Most of us are out there because we genuinely love winter and want to experience wild places when they're quiet and transformed by snow. We welcome people of all experience levels and backgrounds who are curious about winter camping and willing to learn.
