Hidden Mountain Bike Loop in the Middle of the Peninsula.
This short, punchy loop through a Belmont Park offers tight turns, short climbs, and quick descents. It's more a compact technical trail that rewards momentum, braking control, and clean line choice. It's not a common MTB venue, which is why I like it.
Provided GPS route for attendees show a ~7.0 mile ride with 980' elevation change.
Course Details
The route starts at the eastern edge of the park, climbs steadily to Sugarloaf Summit, which is the highest and most scenic. We proceed to the second half, through technical single-track, open ridge and sloped sections, which offer spectacular Bay Area views even on cloudy mornings.
Who is this for?
This is a 60-90 minute moving time ride, with one Trailfork "black diamond" segment. In practical terms, this is the kind of loop where your legs and handling skills get tested more than your endurance.
