Join Fullerton Hiking Club for a peaceful 6.2-mile loop through oak woodlands, quiet creekbeds, and scenic foothill terrain on the Trabuco Creek Loop Trail. This moderately challenging hike offers a great mix of shade, natural beauty, and light elevation gain—perfect for those looking to explore a lesser-traveled Orange County trail.

Meet-Up Details

Start Time: 7:30 AM (arrive by 7:15 AM)
Meeting Location: 28641 Avery Parkway, Mission Viejo, CA 92692
This is the trailhead address with a small free parking area directly at the end of Avery Parkway. Space is limited (6–7 spots), so early arrival is strongly encouraged.

  • Terrain: Dirt surfaces, some rocky footing, dry creek crossings, mild elevation

  1. Avery Parkway (street parking) – Near Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club
  2. Las Fieras (off Melinda Road) – Residential street parking, ~0.4 miles from the trail
  3. Oak Tree Park (Antonio Pkwy area) – Free public lot, connects via Tijeras Creek Trail
  4. Rancho Santa Margarita Water District Lot – Adds approx. 1 mile via trail connection

Please be respectful of residential areas and obey posted signs.

  • This hike has minimal signage—we’ll stay together as a group
  • Cell service may be limited in parts of the canyon
  • Dogs are allowed on leash
