Details

Santiago to Hart Park Loop - 3.5 mile scenic walk/hike

Meeting Point: Santiago Park, Santa Ana, CA 92706 (main parking lot)
We’ll be exploring a ~3.5 mile loop that connects two of Santa Ana’s most beloved parks with a blend of trail, bike path, and neighborhood walking. This route is ideal for those who enjoy both natural scenery and a touch of local character.

Route Overview:

  • Start at Santiago Park: We’ll meet at the main lot and head out along the paved bike path that winds through the park’s greenery and sycamore trees.
  • Trail to Hart Park: Following the bike path, we’ll make our way into Hart Park, a spacious park known for its open lawns, shaded picnic areas, and community spaces.
  • Hart Park Loop: We’ll take a loop through the park, covering both shaded paths and open stretches.
  • Neighborhood Connector: From there, we’ll circle back toward Santiago Park by passing through the surrounding Santa Ana neighborhood, with tree-lined streets and historic homes adding a charming urban touch.
  • Return to Santiago Park: We’ll finish back where we started for an easy closing stretch.
