This meetup is an English speaking event.
The first speaker will be Lorna Mitchell (@lornajane (https://twitter.com/lornajane)) an engineer, author, speaker and developer evangelist for IBM cloud. The title of her presentation is Messaging Between Microservices.
"Breaking your application into loosely-coupled components is great, but there are some very practical considerations when we build systems this way. We need to think about how data moves safely between the services that make up the application; where is the data stored and which service(s) should be accessing or changing that data? Most applications use some kind of message queue but working out what data should be included in the message, what failure behaviour makes sense, and how to convey feedback to an earlier process in the chain - these are all hard problems. This session showcases a series of examples showing some patterns for solving these problems with message queues, workers, and serverless programming as appropriate so that on your next project you can make the technical decisions needed to deliver a right-sized, scalable solution."
Our next speaker will be Daniel Bryant (@danielbryantuk (https://twitter.com/danielbryantuk)), Principal Consultant at OpenCredo with a presentation titled The Seven (More) Deadly Sins of Microservices.
"The 2017 edition of the seven deadly sins that if left unchecked could easily ruin our next microservices project, and some of the nastiest anti-patterns in microservices, providing tools to not only avoid but also slay these demons before they tie up the project in their own special brand of hell."
And finally we are going to celebrate Craft-Conf all together at Grund (1082 Budapest, Nagytemplom street 30)
This meetup is brought to you by Balabit Europe and the Craft Conf Crew. Thanks for all the fish!
