Our 13-day tour begins with our arrival in Nairobi, Kenya. After arrival we will hit the ground running and immediately begin our journey towards the famous Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the most beautiful National Parks in Eastern Africa.

We will stop overnight at Lake Naivasha before we continue our journey to the Masai Mara, one of the premier safari locations in East Africa, which has been voted one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. This is a prime time to experience the tail end of the "Great Migration” between Kenya and Tanzania when over 1.5 million wildebeest and 200,000 zebras cross the Mara River searching for food.

After our time in Masai Mara, we will return to Nairobi, Kenya’s capital for two days. This fascinating city is the perfect place to continue our African adventure, where we visit Nairobi National Park, the famous Giraffe Centre and the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, where we interact with baby elephant orphans.

The next part of our journey takes us to South-Central Africa, where we will explore Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Botswana. WHERE FUN HAPPENINGS IS VISITING IN KENYA, ZAMBIA, ZIMBABWE, AND BOTSWANA!
► Lake Naivasha, Kenya (1 night): Morning boat safari on this large freshwater lake, northwest of Nairobi. The lake has a large Hippo population and is a birder’s paradise as it is home to over 400 bird species including Great Cormorants, Fish Eagles, Pelicans, all types of Kingfishers as well as the Grey-backed fiscal and many flamingos. Our Lodge is incredible, with roaming giraffes and zebras on the grounds, during the day and hungry hippos at night…No roaming at night for humans.
► Maasai Mara, Kenya (3 nights): We travel to southwest Kenya to the Maasai Mara, often called the Jewel of Africa, where we will spend the next three nights. The Maasai Mara, Africa’s most famous safari destination, locally referred to as The Mara, is a large game reserve near Narok, Kenya, contiguous with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. In early to mid October, we will witness the Great Migration, over 1.5 million wildebeest, antelope and zebra as they race across Tanzania’s Serengeti to the Masai Mara, in search of greener pastures. Along with the Great Migration, the Masai Mara is also famed for being home to all of the Big 5 of Africa. It’s common to find elephants, lions, Cape Buffalo, leopards and rhinos.
► Nairobi, Kenya (2 nights): Nairobi, Kenya’s capital, is home to 3.4 million people. This cosmopolitan city is the heartbeat of Kenya with its delicious cuisine, distinctive architecture, and local Maasai people. Nairobi offers the wildlife-packed Nairobi National Park, actually located in the city limits of Nairobi. In Nairobi, we are visiting the Giraffe Centre, the Sheldrick Wildlife Elephant Orphanage, Kazuri Bead Center, and the famous Carnivore Restaurant for an incredible meal.
►Nairobi National Park Game Drive: One of Africa's smallest parks and the only wildlife National park on earth with such close proximity to a city center. It boasts a large and varied wildlife population, amid wide open grass plains against a backdrop of the city’s skyscrapers. It’s home to one of Kenya's most successful rhinoceros’ sanctuaries with the world's highest concentration of black rhinoceros. Commonly spotted species include: Lion, hyena, warthog, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, gazelle, buffalo and sometimes leopard and cheetah.
► Victoria Falls: Victoria Falls is approximately 1700m wide, and varies in height from 80-108 meters. It's one and a half times wider than Niagara Falls and is twice the height making it the biggest curtain of water in the world. We explore Victoria Falls Nature Reserve on a guided tour. The constant spray of the falls has created a natural rainforest where we will stop for views of the magnificent falls along the way. Other activities include The Zambezi Tram Ride from the historic Victoria Falls Railway Station to the Victoria Falls Bridge and the chance to walk along the gorge and enjoy spectacular views of the Falls as we enjoy light refreshments.
► Zambezi River Cruise aboard The Malachite vessel: Traversing between the neighboring countries of Zimbabwe and Zambia, we will enjoy a luxurious Dinner Cruise, champagne and a four-course dinner on the Zambezi River aboard the luxurious Malachite vessel. Aboard our dinner cruise, we will sip on champagne, enjoy the beautiful African sunset and view wildlife in the river and on the river shore, which most likely will include Hippos and elephants.
►Chobe National Park, Botswana: Chobe is well known for being one of the best wildlife destinations in the world. The Big Five (lion, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, and the rare rhino) can all be seen roaming here. Imagine spotting these impressive animals in a park without any boundaries or fences! Chobe is considered one of the top safari’s in the world because of the wide variety of wildlife here and there are limits on the number of visitors to the park each day. This low-density tourism model means that the park never gets crowded, and you always feel like you are somewhere remote and undisturbed.
►Chobe River Safari, Botswana: View the animals of Chobe, including the highest concentration of elephants globally, from a unique perspective on the river. Herds of elephants frequently cross the Chobe River amongst the hippos and crocodiles basking in the sun. You can also spot buffalo, giraffes, plains game, leopards and lions! Furthermore, there are over 460 bird species in the park.
