FEBRUARY 4 - 10, 2026 COSTA RICA DAILY ITINERARY…

Day 1 | Wed. Feb. 4th: Travel Day, Hotel Check In
Upon arrival at San José Airport, we’ll travel by coach to Manuel Antonio, our home base for the duration of this exciting adventure. Our accommodations will be at Hotel San Bada Beach Resort, ideally located just steps from the entrance to the world-renowned Manuel Antonio National Park and a short stroll from the beautiful Manuel Antonio Beach. From the resort, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the park’s vibrant jungle and the sparkling Pacific Ocean. With the beach only a two-minute walk away, a variety of water activities and coastal adventures are right at your fingertips. Dinner this evening will be on your own and you can explore the area or get some rest for our adventures that await us.

Day 2 | Thur. Feb. 5th: Wildlife, Waves & Salsa Moves
Our first full day kicked off with a guided hike through Manuel Antonio National Park. Manuel Antonio National Park, established in 1972, is Costa Rica’s most popular and scenic national park. Though the smallest in size, it’s renowned for its biodiversity and stunning beaches. It’s a key habitat for endangered species like squirrel monkeys, and features a rich variety of frogs, birds, plants, and marine life. With easy access and beautiful trails, it attracts both casual visitors and experts like birdwatchers and biologists. The park is an ideal spot to see monkeys, sloths, toucans, macaws, butterflies, and various reptiles and insects with stunning jungle trails leading to white-sand beaches. This 2 ½ -hour guided nature tour through Manuel Antonio National Park is led by expert naturalist guides who provide fascinating insights into the park’s wildlife and ecosystems and ends with free time at the area's most stunning beaches.

The tour explores both primary and secondary forests and offers great opportunities for wildlife photography using professional telescopes to enhance your camera shots. The tour includes a stop to enjoy some local fresh fruits and refreshments as you soak in the beautiful waters. When your guided educational adventure has ended, you are free to explore more of what Manuel Antonio National Park has to offer. You can take an additional hike on the forest trails or enjoy unspoiled, un-crowded, pristine beaches – it’s up to you.

The evening will bring us together for a Sunset Happy Hour, Salsa Dancing Lessons, and an included delicious Welcome Dinner.

Day 3 | Fri. Feb. 6th: ATV Tour, Jungle & Waterfall Adventures & Sunset Catamaran Cruise
We’ll gear up for an exhilarating ATV adventure through the jungle, winding past rivers, waterfalls, and lush tropical landscapes. This thrilling tour near Manuel Antonio National Park combines high-energy excitement with rich natural beauty. After a safety briefing, we’ll set off on powerful ATVs, navigating through dense rainforest trails, palm plantations, and small rural villages. Along the way, we’ll pause for a guided nature walk in an untouched forest, where you’ll have the chance to spot local wildlife, take in scenic vistas, and cool off with a refreshing swim at a hidden waterfall. Our journey wraps up with a traditional Costa Rican lunch served at a rustic local ranch, offering a perfect blend of adrenaline, nature, and authentic culture.

This afternoon, we’ll set sail on an unforgettable catamaran sunset cruise featuring snorkeling, an open bar, and a freshly grilled dinner at sea. Our naturalist-guided journey takes us along the breathtaking coastline of Manuel Antonio National Park, offering panoramic ocean views, abundant marine life, and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We’ll anchor in the tranquil waters of Playa Biesanz—a hidden gem ideal for freestyle snorkeling in its clear, marine-rich bay. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, rays, and even humpback whales during their seasonal migrations. As the sun begins to dip toward the horizon, unwind on deck with a refreshing selection of tropical fruits, natural juices, and unlimited drinks from the open bar. Soak in the golden glow of a Pacific sunset while savoring a delicious traditional Costa Rican grilled dinner, served onboard as we cruise through this lush coastal paradise.

Day 4 | Sat. Feb. 7th: Cultural Immersion & Chocolate Tour
After our included breakfast, we will depart for our local city and culture tour of Quepos. In this tour you will have the opportunity to go where few tourists visit, and acquire a wealth of historical information about the region and country. You'll learn about the education system, national park system, social security, religion and other local customs. You'll also learn about the socio-economic impact of the United Fruit Company in the region, its arrival, departure, and the successful arrival and triumph of Ecotourism. The experienced guide will provide information, tell you stories and answer any questions you may have. The tour will take you to a local school in a little finca (farm) surrounded by African palm oil where you will gain detailed insight into the school and you will be able to ask questions to the experts. We continue at a small butterfly center to enjoy a snack and learn more about this interesting project.

Additionally, the tour will include a visit to the local farmers market. It is recommended you try the exotic fruits such as the antioxidant rich “Granadilla” (Passiflora).

After free time for lunch in Quepos or at the resort, enjoy an immersive afternoon tour exploring Costa Rica’s chocolate, coffee, and sugar cane traditions Learn the bean-to-bar chocolate-making process, discover the cultural importance of coffee, and see how sugar cane is turned into traditional sweets at a trapiche. Set in a private jungle preserve near Manuel Antonio, the tour also includes wildlife sightings, a walk through a medicinal plant garden, and ends with a traditional Costa Rican dinner. It’s a rich blend of culture, nature, and flavor that you won’t want to miss!

Paddle through the tranquil waters of the Damas Island Estuary on an open-seated kayak, guided by expert naturalists. As you glide beneath the towering mangroves, discover one of Costa Rica’s most vital and biodiverse ecosystems at a relaxed, immersive pace. Watch for sloths, monkeys, silky anteaters, reptiles, and tropical birds as your guide shares fascinating insights into this unique habitat. This intimate tour offers unforgettable wildlife encounters and a deeper appreciation for the rainforest and mangrove's delicate balance. Finish your journey with a delicious traditional Tico-style meal—a perfect close to a memorable day in nature.

  • OPTIONAL ZIPLINING THROUGH THE JUNGLE CANOPY...

The longest zipline in Central America is part of the El Santuario Canopy Adventure, located near Manuel Antonio National Park. This adventure features a dual zipline stretching over 4,300 feet (approximately 0.8 miles), making it the longest twin zipline in Central America. The full canopy tour spans 3.6 kilometers (2.2 miles) and includes:

  • 10 double-anchored ziplines
  • 14 tree platforms
  • 6 hanging bridges
  • 3 nature walks
  • 1 double belay rappel

Designed for safety and enjoyment, the course utilizes a touchless braking system, allowing participants to focus on the experience without manual braking and typically lasts about 4.5 hours. This immersive eco-adventure takes you deep into a pristine private reserve, where lush jungle trails, hanging bridges, and cascading waterfalls reveal the magic of the tropical rainforest.
