The lake is a beautiful place to go, especially in the evening as the sun is setting. It's also a great location since the path we take is there and back and so everyone can go at their own pace and cover as much distance as they want. We usually take about 2½ hours max to complete this hike, depending on the pace of the other hikers.
Bring a flashlight and a light jacket as well as hiking essentials.
Parking free outside of main entrance. Can park along the side of the road and limited parking in the lot out front.
