Spring into Spring - Sunset Hike - Lake Casitas - Shoreline Trail - 7 mrt

Join me on our Spring into Spring hike to celebrate the Vernal Equinox. Last week Daylight Savings time began and so did my afterwork hikes. Now, on March 20th, we will move into our Spring season. http://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/8/3/d/2/event_15813746.jpeg Last week we were very lucky to observe a young California Condor flying low overhead, perhaps we'll see him again.

The lake is a beautiful place to go, especially in the evening as the sun is setting. It's also a great location since the path we take is there and back, and so everyone can go at their own pace and cover as much distance as they want. I usually take about 2½ hours max to complete this hike. Even though DST is here, it's going to be dark when we get back, bring a flashlight as well as hiking essentials.

Parking free outside of main entrance. Can park along the side of the road and limited parking in the lot out front.
