Hello and Welcome to The Metro Detroit Fun & Fitness meetup site. This site is owned by the GM Ski Club. For those who are unfamiliar with us we are more than just a ski club and we are not affiliated with General Motors (long story). We are simply a dynamic social club. We use this site to reach out to active folks like you, let you know what we have going on and invite you to participate in our events. Although some events have discounted prices for members of the GM Ski Club, you don't have to be a member of the club to participate. We hope to see you soon at our upcoming events. Enjoy fitness activities like Golf, Bowling, Biking, Hiking, Camping, Downhill Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Kayaking, Tennis, etc , laugh and have fun while at it. Not so Hardcore, fitness but fun fitness... For just plain fun, there's concerts, eating out, or just meet'n'greet events.

One Opening Left as of 6/19/2025. A waitlist is being taken. You can join the waitlist and still pay in advance. If an opening occurs, we will ask those on the waitlist who've paid if they are still interested. If you can no longer attend your money will be refunded. After that, we will contact unpaid people on the waitlist.
NOTE: Advance payment is required for this event. When you RSVP, you will be put on the waitlist until payment is received. At which time you will be moved to "Going". When we get 16 paid attendees, the event will be considered FULL. And a waitlist will be taken.
Looking for some great party people to board a 25 foot Peddle Boat Pub Bar for nearly 3 full hours of great fun. This special evening cruise us FIREWORKS night on Lake Orion. The boat holds 16guests with 10 pedal stations facing each other around a beautiful mahogany bar. A trough-style cooler runs through the middle of the bar allowing riders to easily access their own cold food and beverages. It has large cushiony seats and soft pedals, the riding experience is comparable to being on a beachcruiser.
Each tour will have a CAPTAIN and FIRST MATE! You will be in great hands as each captain is trained to guarantee your safety and fun!

https://www.pedalboatpub.com/faqWe will bring whatever we would like to eat and something to share. You are invited to bring your favorite party drinks (alcohol is permitted) and any other food items you wish for yourself or to share.
We can bring our own tunes, request our own playlist, or let the captains decide.
There will be an optional swimming stop at the sand bar. Don't forget your swim suit.
Advance payment is required to secure your spot.
TIME SCHEDULE:
4:30 Optional meet for dinner and drinks at Rio On Main 305 S Broadway St, Lake Orion, MI
7:15 The Pedal Boat Party Bus will pick up passengers at CVS/Rio on Main 305 S. Broadway St. Lake Orion. Boarding starts at 7:45.
* Shove off will be 8:00 sharp.
* Motor around the lake with optional swim stop at the sandbar. Residencesaround the lake have spectacular flares. Anchor at optimum viewing spot forfireworks.
* Fireworks around 10:00 lasts 30 - 40 minutes.
* Head back toward dock approximately 11:00.COST: $70 There is a maximum of 16people for this event.

The Pedal Boat Pub will sail in light rain, thanks to a collapsible canopy that covers the entire deck.
In the case of extreme weather (if thunder, lightening or heavy winds are present) the captain reserves the right to cancel the tour. If the tour is cancelled, they will attempt to reschedule for an alternate date/time or provide you with a refund minus $30 ticket fees.
