Welcome to Fungi Friends and Forest Floor Explorers. This group is for anyone who finds themselves slowing down on a hike to look at the mushrooms growing on a rotting log or who has ever spent an afternoon flipping through a field guide trying to identify a patch of chanterelles. We are a community of curious nature lovers interested in learning more about the hidden world of mycelium and the fascinating role fungi play in our local ecosystems.
Our meetups are low-key and focused on spending time outdoors together. We organize regular walks through local woodlands to practice spotting and identifying different species, share what we are learning, and simply enjoy the fresh air. Whether you are an experienced mycologist or a total beginner who just wants to learn the names of the mushrooms you see in your backyard, you are welcome to join us.
