Hands on Introduction to Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Ambari & Pig: Part 1

Details
Want to learn more about Hadoop and the Big Data problems it can solve?
Are you trying to understand what are the key open source components related to Hadoop?
Or understand how Big Data solutions can work in the cloud?
Or understand the components of Hadoop and how to leverage YARN and HDFS?
Then this Hadoop Workshop is for you. In this workshop you will learn what are the essential steps involved in implementing a Hadoop (Hive & Pig ) program that runs in Hadoop as well as use Ambari to simplify the development and deployment of Hadoop programs.
You will learn how to use Hive to implement data warehousing solutions in a Hadoop environment (using SQL), understand how Hive manages structured data in Hadoop and uses SQL in Hadoop to store and query large data sets in Hadoop.
We will go beyond Hive to show how Pig is such a powerful data flow language, which could take care of complex data transformation operations in few lines of codes.
To participate in the Hands-on-Labs, you will need to bring your own laptop with Hortonworks HDP Sandbox pre-loaded.
