Future Swag Seoul is an organization dedicated to spreading love through hip hop dance. Our goal is to show that anyone can dance and dance well whatever your race, gender, age, cultural background if you give it your all.
If you are new to hip hop dance and want to try it out.......awesome! You are in for a treat!
If you have experience........get ready to bring it! Cause this class will push you!
Future Swag Seoul has workshops available every other month(not consistently). The workshops are cardio based, which means you will be dancing and sweating alot! It's a choreo based class, meaning it won't be a boring class where you do the same moves over and over again. The moves(choreo) are a uni-sex style, meaning it will have both masculine and feminine characteristics, but will emphasize mostly on giving flavor(swag) to your movement.
Info about the head teacher David Jang:
My passion in dance started about the time I found out I had a spinal disc from working too long on my other passion and full-time job as an animator. I realized I needed a balance in my life and naturally I looked up group exercises at the gym.
There I found hip hop dance. My teacher Darnell was a life-changing mentor for me and because of his teachings I fell in love with hip hop dance in a very organic manner. I learned under Darnell for about 7 years and taught hip hop for about 4 years now.
Because I was such a horrible dancer when I first started, I am a firm believer that anyone can dance if they want to. And just as Darnell taught me, I also believe that it is very important to exercise both mind and body for maintaining a healthy balance between the two.
That is why I made Future Swag Seoul(FSS).
FSS's mission is to spread the passion of hiphop, which is essentially expressing passion/emotion through body, to others and hopefully build a community geared towards bigger goals and accomplishments.
