Let’s head out of Tokyo for an afternoon surrounded by half a million sunflowers! 🌻
The Zama Sunflower Festival is a great summer spot to catch golden flowers and hour to snap some photos.
Cost: Free to attend! Just cover your own expenses (train fare, bus fare, snacks, etc.).
Here is the plan:
- 3:00 PM: Meet up at Sōbudai-mae Station.
- 3:15 PM: Take the event shuttle bus to the festival site (¥260 each way).
- 3:45 PM: Arrive at the fields, explore the tail-end of the festival, and grab a snack.
- 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM: Golden hour photo time in the sunflower fields. 🌅🌻
- 5:00 PM: Take the shuttle bus back to Sōbudai-mae Station and head back to Tokyo (or stay a bit longer for sunset and walk back to Sobudaishita Station ~26 min
🎒 What to bring:
- Sun protection & cooling items (hat, parasol, fan, sunscreen)
- Camera or charged phone for photos
- ~¥3,000 cash (for IC card top-up, ¥260 shuttle bus each way, and snacks)
