What we’re about
Gambeta Football Club organizes the best recreational soccer games for men and women in the greater Boston area. Gambeta members are teammates, competitors, and friends. We are a club for players - by players.
When you come to our pickup games you are expected to follow these rules:
- No slide tackling ever, even if it's clean.
- We call our own fouls. If someone says they are fouled, give them the ball and don't argue.
- If you kick the ball out of bounds, it is your responsibility to go get it.
- Don't waste time arguing over calls. Just get the game going again.
- Don't criticize other players. Bring good energy.
All of these rules are designed to make the game safe and enjoyable for all. They have been working for us for the 8 years since this group was founded.
Players who do not follow these rules will be asked to leave the group.
Please note that if you RSVP "yes" to an event and do not show up, you will be removed from the group. This includes changing your RSVP at the last minute.
We strive to run as many free and open games as possible. Occasionally, where facility or field rental is necessary (e.g. our indoor games), we may charge a fee to play to cover our costs.
We are located in Boston and play every single week - YEAR LONG. We play at superior locations, use professional equipment and play high quality games with a diverse group of talented players. Our members average over 20 years of soccer experience and represent from every corner of the world, including: USA, Brazil, France, Ecuador, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Mexico, Albania, England, Germany, Ireland, Argentina, Italy, Greece. We are here to spread "Cultura de Futbol!"
