  • GameDevMuc-Stammtisch

    Cafe Mozart

Every second monday each month we meet at Café Mozart for a very informal Stammtisch (beers and schmoozing). This meeting is for everyone who wants to get in touch with other game developers in Munich. We don't have a set topic or any other formalities. Just show up, sit down with us and enjoy the company. Oh and you're always welcome to bring your finished games, prototypes and friends. =D You can find the web site for the Stammtisch at http://www.gamedevmuc.de/.

  • Mini Game Jam

    Werk 1

You have always wanted to make a game but never found the right people? You're already making games in your day job but they take years to complete? Why not try something new? Munich Indie is a loose collective of people in Munich, Germany who like to create games. We organize semi-regular (read: a handfull every year) 24-hour game jams. What is a game jam, you ask? "A game jam is an organized get-together with the intention of creating a full game – from conception to completion – in a pre-determined, short period of time." That means if you want to work with other enthusiasts (professional game developers, students and hobbyists alike) on making something innovative in a very short time, then feel free to join us for the next jam. You should have some applicable skills (programming, 2D/3D art, audio, game design, writing) but do not have to be a master in any of these. Check out http://www.munichindie.com/ if you want to check out some examples of the games that we made in game jams over the last few years. This time we want to try a new concept: We will split the jam into two parts, the first day will start at 10 am and end around 10 pm, the second day will start at 10 am and end around 6 pm.
