About us

Hi there! I’m a 36-year-old, newer to this area, and I’d love to build some community with other women. I’m also a nerd, so I’m starting a casual, twice-a-month board game group and would love for you to join!

Who: Women (roughly in our 30s and 40s). Whether you’ve already fallen in love with modern board games or just want to play casual card games and chat, you are welcome!

What: To get us started I’ll happily bring and teach some games that match the group. Total beginners are completely welcome, I want this to be an open, inclusive, and friendly space to meet people.

When: Twice a month on Tuesday evenings (~6pm-9pm)!

Where: Local cafes or community spots around Malta and Clifton Park area.

Why: Because it’s hard to make friends as an adult!

The first Gaming Gals meetup!

I figure the Malta Panera is a safe bet for a weeknight evening since they're typically pretty friendly to folks hanging out and playing games.
For our first few get-togethers, I’m keeping the RSVP cap small. This way, it's easy to share and teach games, and everyone actually gets to be involved!

I plan to be there at 5:30pm (I'll be the one with a stack of games on the table) if anyone wants to chat first and/or grab something to eat. If possible, I'd encourage everyone to grab a small bite or drink to support Panera as we use their space for a few hours.

Note: Panera closes at 9pm so we'll have to be out by then.
