Are you a designer, artist, musician, or regular human being with an irrational fear of cryptic and complex code? Then come learn how to make a game the easy way with Construct 2.

Construct 2 is a simple yet powerful HTML5 game creator designed specifically for 2D games. It opens up the doors for non-coders to bring their game ideas to life quickly and easily, and it's robust enough for seasoned programmers to create high quality games. The Layout Editor provides a clear what-you-see-is-what-you-get interface, which takes the guess work out of layout and level design. A library of Behaviors give you access to pre-packaged functions that make implementing player movement, physics, and even AI a breeze. There are absolutely tons of project templates to get your game up and running even quicker, whatever your preferred genre may be.

Download Construct 2, bring your laptop and come join Chris Hernandez and Jon Stokes, as they take us through a practical lesson in game creation with Construct 2.

Bio

Chris Hernandez is a freelance graphic designer from Dallas who likes making video games more than he likes working in advertising. He is currently developing Super Rad Raygun under Majesco's Midnight City label, and is also a founding member of Studio Mercato in NYC. Despite all that, he still finds it weird to call himself a game developer, since he mostly just draws little pictures. You can see his latest game-related work at studio-mercato.com (http://studio-mercato.com/)

Jon Stokes received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech, but because electrical engineering is super boring, he makes video games for a living. He is a freelance mobile game programmer and designer, preceptor of young'uns, avid game jammer, and occasional arcade machine builder. He is a proud member of the indie games label Studio Mercato. Jon most recently worked on the awesome iPhone racing game Top Bot. You can check out his assortment of projects at jonstoked.com (http://jonstoked.com/).

Don't pass up this chance to meet a seasoned industry vet in a small, intimate environment Seats are limted.
